
Shipping process
Each merchandise entrusted to our care follows a rigorous and secure journey, from pick-up to its final destination.

Choose your method of generating the delivery receipt. Through the app or on paper, then send your request to Elwood.

We estimate for you the volume and optimal transportation for your goods.

You choose the type of packaging for your goods.

Please confirm your desired delivery date as soon as possible.

You will receive a final packing list to be checked and validated before departure.

You must provide us with all customs documents and customer information, as well as a power of attorney to be able to carry out all administrative procedures.

Final checks before shipping. Payment for transportation must be made no later than 1 day before departure.

Your goods are loaded and transported by Elwood to the departure platform for Air or Sea.
The containers are not pre-loaded. They belong to the shipping company – we are not the shipping company.

A tracking link will be provided to you.

Your goods are arriving in the destination country.
CUSTOMS CLEARANCE MAY BE REQUIRED UPON ARRIVAL AT THE CUSTOMER’S EXPENSE.
THE BROKER MAY TAKE SEVERAL DAYS TO CLEAR THE GOODS.

Insurances
Coverage extent
Our insurance covers loss at sea, theft or destruction of the container, as well as damage to internal items (subject to proof).
If you wish to use your own insurance, please inform us in advance.
Procedure in case of damage
You have a strict deadline of 3 days maximum after delivery to declare a claim.
If this deadline is exceeded, no claims will be accepted.
Required documents for the file:
1 – Comparative photos: Photos of the item at the time of purchase vs photos upon arrival.
2 – Packaging proof: Photos of the packaging of the damaged piece.
3 – Supporting documents: Purchase invoice and delivery slip from the carrier with your written reservations.
